PUMP CASING AND SHAFT

In a pump, the casing is the outer shell that contains the internal components, seals the fluid, and directs the liquid flow to the outlet, while the shaft is the central rotating rod that receives power from the motor and transmits it to the impeller to pump the fluid. The casing provides structural support and pressure containment, while the shaft's rotational motion drives the impeller, which is mounted on it and works with the casing to increase fluid pressure.
